Wilson's Plover? North Carolina

Brunswick County, southernmost coast of North Carolina, USA. 17 May 2026.

I see a single dark breast band, a relatively long thick bill for a plover, black legs, white shoulder spur. All (mediocre, at best) photos are the same bird. The first image is the bird with its head bent over its back, preening around the rump.

Thanks for any help.

Thirded - wide breast band and chunky bill.

Yeah, shot into the afternoon sun on a mudflat at several hundred feet.

Thanks, everyone.
